Opal Fibre Packaging Australia provides a full service offering in corrugated cardboard box packaging from design and product testing through to supply chain integration.
We have an exciting prospect for a trade qualified individual to join the Opal team.
This is a full-time permanent role predominantly servicing multiple sites throughout the Cairns/ Innisfail and wider regions.The main objective of the role is to maintain, repair, and retool plant and equipment in accordance with manufacturer recommendations, with a focus on upholding safety and maximizing production at our customer's sites.Other duties for this role include (but are not limited to):Setting and prioritising of work,



ensuring parts are available and labour is fully utilisedMonitor all downtime/uptime in an effort to increase the effectiveness of the packaging systemsMaintain a focus on response times as well as effective and timely close out of issues raisedEnsure all equipment is maintained to OEM run speeds and quality standardsMaintain a liaison with equipment and technical suppliersPlan and implement the most efficient and effective delivery of scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and machine systems services to ensure it meets customer needs and regulatory requirements.We can offer a varied career journey with experiential learning gained from cross-functional and lateral moves.
