You have great attention to detail and strong communication skills with the ability to engage with people of all levels.About the rolePermanent part time (16 hours per week)Penrith location (must be able to travel across our metropolitan clinics if required)The Registered Nurse plays an key role in supporting the strategic directions of Family Planning Australia.
This is a multi-faceted role.
In addition to clinical service delivery and provision of clinicaltraining, the role provides the opportunity to develop skills, knowledge and experience in research,telephone referral and information line and professional education.
The position is part of a multidisciplinary team.Selection CriteriaEssential (including qualifications)Primary nursing degree with current AHPRA registration as a registered nurseMinimum 2 years post graduate experience including demonstrated clinical experience in reproductive ad sexual healthExperience working with FPAsdefined priority populations - Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanderpeople, young people, people with disability, and culturally and linguistically diverse peopleHigh level interpersonal and communication skillsDemonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary teamDemonstrated ability to effectively utilise electronic medical record systemsWillingness to develop skills in LARC insertion and removal (implant and/or IUD)Must have full Australian working rightsOther requirementsA Criminal Record Check and Working with Children Check are required prior to commencement in this roleImmunisation/vaccination requirements apply to this roleDesirablePost graduate qualification in reproductive and sexual health nursing (RSH CAP or equivalent)Previous experience in perioperative nursing, provision of ultrasound, clinical instruction and/or clinical researchExperience working withpriority populations includingAboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, young people, people with disability, LGBTQ people and/or culturallyand linguistically diverse peopleFPA is an Equal Opportunity Employer and we encourage all suitably qualified applicants to apply, including Aboriginal People and people from racial, ethnic or ethno-religious minority groups and people with disability.
