About the Role
Our client is integrating Microsoft Dynamics 365 with the EcoSys project controls, contract management and cost control platform.
Creating a single, business‐critical solution that gives end-to-end visibility across project delivery, commercial performance, procurement, cost management, forecasting and financial reporting.
As our Project Control Systems Specialist, you'll be the subject matter expert bridging Delivery, Finance, Procurement and Technology with our project controls and commercial teams.
You'll help define future‐state processes, control points and system integrations that underpin the successful delivery of major infrastructure and logistics projects.
You'll work closely with business SMEs, the Technology Program Director, Systems Integrators, platform vendors, our Delivery Partner and internal teams to co‐design and implement the solution.
What You'll Be Doing
Leading workshops with Delivery, Finance, Procurement and Technology stakeholders.
Analysing current‐state processes and designing future‐state, integrated workflows across D365 and EcoSys
Acting as the primary business SME for project controls and commercial processes within the integration program
Providing expert guidance across cost management, budgeting and forecasting, contract management, variations and claims, earned value management, cash flow forecasting and performance reporting
Translating operational and commercial requirements into functional specifications, and supporting data mapping,
integration design and migration readiness
Ensuring project controls processes align with financial accounting, capital project accounting, procurement and compliance requirements
Contributing to discovery, design, testing (including UAT) and implementation phases
Producing executive‐ready artefacts, process maps, requirements documentation, control matrices, user stories, and input into steering papers and governance forums
What You'll Bring
Essential
10+ years' experience in project controls, commercial management, project management or programme controls
Experience within infrastructure, transport, rail, logistics, construction, engineering or heavy asset organisations
Hands‐on experience implementing or operating project controls platforms such as EcoSys, Primavera P6, InEight, Contruent or similar
Solid understanding of contract management, cost control, forecasting, capital delivery, procurement and financial management processes
A track record of facilitating workshops with senior stakeholders and designing complex, cross‐functional business processes
Strong grounding in financial accounting and project accounting principles
Exceptional documentation and communication skills
