As we continue to grow, we're seeking a detail-driven and experienced Estimatorto join our North Sydney based team.This is a fantastic chance for a proactive professional to contribute to the success of diverse and high-impact projects in the energy, utilities, communication and construction sectors.Key Responsibilities:Analyse project documentation, drawings, and specifications to produce accurate and timely cost estimatesPrepare and manage pre-contract financial, material, labour, and time estimatesProvide input into tender strategy, pricing structures, and bid developmentCollaborate with subcontractors, suppliers, clients, and internal teams to gather and verify cost dataMaintain cost databases, supplier directories, and estimating toolsPrepare post-tender documentation including detailed expenditure breakdowns and initial project schedulesReview and maintain the schedule of rates in conjunction with OperationsEnsure quality and consistency in tender submissions across technical, commercial, and financial aspectsTrack industry trends, pricing changes,
and cost-saving opportunitiesAbout You:Essential Requirements:Minimum 2 years' experience in Estimating, ideally within utilities, construction, communication, or related sectorsDemonstrated understanding of Occupational Health & SafetyCurrent National Police Clearance and a valid "C" Class Driver's LicenceHigh-level proficiency in cost estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially ExcelStrong attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skillsExcellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skillsAbility to manage multiple bids simultaneously under strict deadlinesFamiliarity with reading and interpreting construction drawingsSelf-motivated and able to work independentlyAbility to dissect and understand EBA impacts on cost and productivityDesirable:Qualifications in Construction Management, Engineering, or Project ManagementExperience using enterprise estimating programs such as CATSSenior First Aid and CPR certificationPrevious experience in utilities, construction, or resource industriesWhy join GenusPlus Group?
