This role will be based in Brisbane.
This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of occasional working in the office, remote and maximising time at client sites.If you have previously worked in a safety role at a council and looking for a fresh challenge, this unique consulting opportunity within our JLT Public Sector business is your chance to make a real difference.
You'll be supporting Member Councils of the Local Government Workcare Self-Insurance Scheme (LGW) by delivering practical, impactful health, safety and wellbeing solutions across Queensland.
Join a collaborative team where your local government experience will be valued and your ideas will help shape safer workplaces for communities.We will count on you to:Provide clients with strategic and operational solutions to health, safety and wellbeingDevelop and/or review safety management system components for clientsPrepare and assist member Councils through the safety management system auditsDevelop and foster relations at all levels within CouncilWork as part of a team for key client projects through a variety of targeted initiativesWhat you need to have:Tertiary qualification in Workplace Health and Safety or a related discipline, or nearing completion in a relevant tertiary qualificationExperience with the development and implementation of safety management systemsExperience working under a Self-Insurance model including experience with working under the National Audit Tool, preferred but not essentialCurrent QLD Drivers License is required at all timesBe a solution focused thinker with the ability to deliver operational system outcomes for our clientsAbility to engage,
