Queensland Earthmoving Maintenance – Cairns QLD QEM is currently seeking the following positions to join our team: Queensland Earthmoving Maintenance (QEM) is a locally owned and operated company supporting the Mining, Civil and Construction Industries.
We specialise in heavy equipment and earthmoving machinery maintenance, offering both workshop and field service support across Far North Queensland.

Workshop/Local Fitter: Maintenance and repairs of various Civil, Quarry and Construction Machinery and Fixed Plant Fault finding diagnostic repairs and product improvements.
Able to work autonomously and safely following onsite policies and procedures Completion of daily safety paperwork and maintenance records Perform the servicing,



repair and maintenance of a range of underground and surface mining equipment including Normet, Volvo, Sandvik & Caterpillar machinery.
Performing diagnostic assessments and utilise diagnostic programs effectively Able to complete Risk Identification and Management procedures following company policies and procedures FIFO from Cairns - flights and accomodation provided on 8/6 & 7/7 roster The successful candidate will require A Cert III in Mechanical Trade Qualification (heavy vehicle) A minimum of 2 years post trade experience is desirable A curent 'C Class' licence or HR licence Ability to work cohesively as part of a small team Able to pass a Pre-Employment Medical including Drug and Alcohol Screen and Police Check Working at Heights, EWP, Forklift, Confined space and White Card tickets beneficial QEM offers employees: Training provided on and off site FIFO and local opportunities Fortnightly pays Competitive rates We can offer a outstanding opportunity for someone willing to expand their knowledge and experience.
