Operating across multiple port precincts, GPC plays a vital role in supporting regional prosperity and Queensland's economic future.As a Queensland Government Owned Corporation, we are committed to safe, sustainable and efficient port operations while creating value for our customers, communities and stakeholders.About the RoleWe are seeking motivated and safety-focused Production Operators to join our Operations team on a permanent full-time basis across various sites and locations.Reporting to the Terminal Supervisor and working in a dedicated team, you will be accountable for all bulk material handling for unloading, shiploading and quarry processes within their respective skills set.
The role will include machinery operation, inspections, trouble shooting, shipping movements and general labouring work on plant and equipment to support its safe and effective operation.This is a hands-on operational role working within a high-performing team in a dynamic and safety-critical environment.Key ResponsibilitiesIn this role, you will:Operate mobile plant and equipment including dozers, loaders, excavators and skid steersSupport bulk material handling processes including unloading, stockpiling and shiploadingConduct routine inspections, pre-starts and operational checks of plant and equipmentIdentify and respond to faults,



hazards and operational issuesPerform general labouring tasks and housekeeping to maintain safe work areasWork within established routines, procedures and operating systemsContribute to the safe and efficient execution of daily operational plansComply with safety, environmental and operational policies and proceduresCommunicate effectively with team members and other departments to support operationsWhat you'll BringExperience operating mobile plant and equipment in a civil, mining, construction or similar environmentKnowledge of bulk material handling, conveyors or production operations (desirable)Demonstrated ability to work safely in a high-risk, safety-focused environmentExperience conducting equipment inspections and identifying faults or issuesA strong understanding of operational procedures and work instructionsLicences and RequirementsYou will be required to have the following nationally recognised RII Statement of Attainments and Licences:Mandatory requirementsC Class Driver's Licence with manual transmission.Dozer (Statement of Attainment)Front End Loader (Statement of Attainment)Excavator (Statement of Attainment)Maritime Security Identification Card or the ability to obtain one.HR or MC truck licence.Road Roller (Statement of Attainment)Grader (Statement of Attainment)Skid Steer competency.First Aid Certificate.Why Join GPC?
