We work to improve coordination of care, support highquality primary health services, and ensure our community receives the right care, at the right time, in the right place.ABOUT THE ROLEWe are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Payroll Officer to join our high performing Corporate Services team on a part-time, fixed-term basis.
As a member of the Finance team, the Payroll Officer supports GCPHN's administrative systems to the standards of accuracy, timeliness, efficiency and customer focus, as agreed in consultation with the CEO.
Working under the supervision of the Finance Manager, this role assists GCPHN to achieve its goals through effective administrative support.This position is offered as a part time role, working 20 hours per week (working days must include Wednesday & Thursday for payroll processing).
It is a fixed-term appointment (Parental leave backfill), contracted until 17/09/2027.
There may be potential for an extension, depending on the timing of the incumbent's return from parental leave.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESProcess accurate and timely payroll for employees, Board Members and committee members.Maintain payroll records and manage employee onboarding, offboarding and payroll system administration.Ensure compliance with payroll legislation and reporting requirements, including superannuation, PAYG and EOFY obligations.Reconcile payroll transactions and support payroll-related financial processes.Provide payroll support,
training and advice to employees and stakeholders.Maintain data integrity, confidentiality and compliance with information security and privacy requirements.Support finance, administration and reporting activities as required.Contribute to continuous improvement, workplace safety and a positive team culture.Undertake other duties as required to support organisational objectives.SELECTION CRITERIA – ESSENTIALAt least two years end-to-end payroll experience using Employment Hero Payroll softwareStrong data entry skills and experience in using accounting softwareMS Office skills, including Word and Excel.Professional with high-level communication skills.Office administration skills including high attention to detail.Ability to use initiative to solve problems and multitask.Flexible and adaptable to achieving results in a fast-moving environment.WE OFFERRemuneration package: $49,379 to $54,402 (pro-rata, 20 hours) plus superannuationSalary packaging benefits (up to $15,900 p.a. + $2,650 p.a. for meals/entertainment)20 hours per week (Must work Wednesday and Thursday, plus an additional day)Fixed term until 19/07/2027 (with possibility of extension)5 weeks annual leaveAnnual CPI salary increasesExceptional workplace culture benchmarked as SoaringConvenient Robina location with free parking nearbyCULTURE-FOCUSEDAt GCPHN, we value diversity and aim for a respectful, supportive environment.
