Elizabeth Home is a residential aged care facility established by the Hungarian Catholic Community, located in Dean Park on beautifully spacious landscaped grounds.
We provide quality accommodation and care services with Christian values for residents, primarily of Hungarian background.
Our Home has 102 beds, including a 20-bed secure memory support unit.We are seeking an experienced, organised and people-focused Rostering Coordinator to join our team on a part-time ********* hours weekly), working 4-5 days per week.
This role reports to the People & Culture Manager and supports the smooth coordination of staff rosters, general administration and day-to-day operational support across the Home.This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a busy aged care environment, has strong attention to detail, and understands the importance of effective rostering, clear communication and qualified administrative support.
At St. Elizabeth Home, we believe quality care begins with respect, compassion, dignity and a supportive team environment.About the roleAs the Rostering Coordinator at St. Elizabeth Home, you will be responsible for preparing and maintaining staff rosters, coordinating shift coverage, assisting with timesheet and attendance records, attending to telephone enquiries, booking appointments, and assisting with documentation for new residents.You will work closely with the People & Culture Manager,
Director of Nursing, Care Managers, Registered Nurses, administration team and other staff to support safe staffing levels, smooth daily operations and a positive experience for residents, families, visitors and employees.Key responsibilitiesPrepare, maintain and update staff rosters across the HomeCoordinate replacement staff for unplanned absences, leave and vacant shiftsEnsure roster coverage supports resident care needs and safe staffing levelsMonitor staff availability, leave requests and shift changesCommunicate roster updates clearly and professionally to staff and managersAssist with timesheet checking, attendance records and payroll preparation as requiredAttend to telephone calls and direct enquiries appropriatelyBook appointments and assist with scheduling meetings as requiredAssist with documentation and administration for new residentsSupport admission-related paperwork, filing, scanning, data entry and record managementMaintain accurate rostering, administration and staff recordsProvide limited administrative support to the People & Culture Manager as directedWork collaboratively with clinical,
administration and management teams to support smooth daily operationsSupport compliance with relevant employment conditions, internal policies, privacy and confidentiality requirementsAbout youPrevious experience in aged care, health care in rostering, workforce coordination, administration or a similar roleSound understanding of shift-based rostering and replacement staffing requirementsStrong organisational skills and excellent attention to detailAbility to manage competing priorities in a busy environmentConfident communication skills and a respectful, professional approachAbility to communicate effectively with staff, residents, families, visitors and external providersGood computer skills and experience using rostering, payroll, workforce management or administration systemsExperience with telephone enquiries, appointment booking, filing, data entry and documentation supportA positive, flexible and team-focused attitudeCommitment to the values of compassion, dignity, respect and quality careWhy join St. Elizabeth Home?
