On behalf of our client, we are looking for a full-time experienced Diesel Mechanic.
This role will be responsible for diagnostics and maintenance of plant and equipment to ensure it is maintained to a fit for purpose standard for safe and reliable operation.The daily duties and responsibilities include:Plan tasks, parts acquisition and execute repairs, maintenance and servicing dutiesPrioritise work in accordance with Maintenance ScheduleFault diagnosis and general repairsEnsure planned repairs are executed within time and cost requirements/estimatesMachine maintenance, component replacement and component overhaulCarry out pre-start checks on plant and equipment to be operatedRe-fuelling and inspectionsBasic cutting and welding, auto electrical tasks, hydraulic/ pneumatics and air conditioning diagnostics and repairs as requiredEnsure all items are adequately secured in/on vehicles used for transportationStrive for zero damage to plant and equipmentFollow OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturers)



work instructions and procedures Ensure all components have been drained of oil where applicable to prevent environmental and/or compliance issues and follow appropriate procedure for disposal/dispatchIdentify opportunities for continuous improvement and assist with the development and implementation of agreed solutionsAdherence to company Policies, Procedures and Management PlansWork to the highest quality standard possibleAssist and support other team members in carrying out duties as requiredAdherence to Site Safety Health Management System and Environmental and/or other statutory management plans as requiredCommitment to fostering safety in the workplaceReport incidents as soon as possible, as a priority after the incidentPerform and submit regular Secure Act Observations (SAOs) using site supplied documentation and reporting processQualification & Experience RequirementsTrade Qualification – Diesel Fitting, Plant Mechanic or similarExperience with heavy Mining & Earth Moving EquipmentExperience using Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)Critical thinking and problem-solving skillsPlanning and Organising skillsSalarySalary being offered is commensurate with qualifications and experience and is between $100,*********,000 excluding superannuation.
