Due to continued growth and demand within our innovative Aged Care Nursing Clinical Placement Program, Hunter Primary Care is seeking an experienced and passionate Regional Coordinator to support nursing student placements across the NSW Mid North Coast region, 3 days per week.
The successful candidate will work closely with nursing students, Clinical Facilitators, education providers and aged care partners to deliver high-quality clinical placement experiences and promote aged care as a rewarding career pathway.
As a key member of our team, you will provide coordination, facilitation and stakeholder engagement across the region, supporting the development of the future aged care nursing workforce.
Key Responsibilities
Provide face-to-face facilitation and support to nursing students during aged care clinical placements.
Coordinate and support student clinical placement activities throughout the Mid North Coast region.
Coordinate and schedule casual Clinical Facilitators.
Provide coaching, mentoring and skilled support to Clinical Facilitators.
Collaborate with internal team members to ensure effective program delivery.
Build and maintain strong relationships with Education Providers and tertiary institutions.
Develop and maintain productive partnerships with Aged Care Providers throughout the region.
Assist with program reporting, evaluation and quality improvement activities.
Undertake other duties as required by the Program Manager.
About You
Current unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
Min. five years clinical experience as a health professional.
Post graduate qualification in relevant field
Flexibility to travel and see students as necessary
Sound understanding of the aged care sector
Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and communicate effectively with key stakeholders
A passion to promote the rich and rewarding career pathways in gerontological nursing
Current NDIS worker screening check
