The business supports a large national network and is focused on delivering operational efficiency, value creation, and best-practice procurement across its operations.With a strong emphasis on safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement, the organisation provides a professional environment where procurement specialists can make a real commercial impact.About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist to execute category strategies that deliver cost savings, ensure supply continuity, and improve operational efficiency.In this role, you will take ownership of end‐to‐end Source-to-Contract activities while proactively managing assigned categories.
You will work closely with subject matter experts and key stakeholders to enhance value through RFx processes, supplier performance management, contract optimisation, and data-driven decision-making.
You will also manage and prioritise the procurement pipeline to reduce waste and identify cost-effective improvements.Key ResponsibilitiesLead end‐to‐end Source-to-Contract processes, including tendering, supplier negotiations,
and project managementAnalyse spend data, benchmark costs, identify savings opportunities, and drive implementation outcomesManage supplier performance using KPIs and SLAs, conducting regular performance reviewsBuild solid stakeholder relationships and balance business needs with customer‐focused outcomesMaintain and optimise the procurement pipeline to improve workflow efficiency and reduce demand spikesIdentify and implement improvements across Procurement and Procure-to-Pay processes, escalating compliance gaps where requiredSupport accurate vendor master data and category hierarchy managementUphold safety priorities across procurement activitiesAbout YouMinimum 5 years' experience in procurement or commodity managementRelevant tertiary qualifications (or currently working towards)Demonstrated success using category management and spend analysis to deliver cost savingsStrong business acumen with experience in Excel-based cost/benefit and scenario analysisSolid understanding of total cost drivers, inventory management, KPIs, and SLAsProven experience running tender processes and managing supplier contractsExcellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skillsComfortable handling complex and challenging conversationsProficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams), with intermediate Excel capabilityExperience in retail, network distribution, operations, fleet, or agriculture highly regardedWhy Join Us?
