You will work closely with our Service teams to deliver engineering solutions, quality assurance, compliance, certification and continuous improvement initiatives while mentoring engineers and driving best practice.This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced HVAC Engineer looking to step into a leadership role with significant influence across engineering, compliance and operational performance.What will I be doingLead engineering support across the Service, Minor Works and Residential teamsPrepare and review engineering designs, calculations and technical documentationProvide value engineering solutions that improve commercial outcomes and system performanceReview consultant designs and workshop drawings for compliance and constructabilityProvide engineering certification and ensure compliance with Australian Standards and the National Construction CodeSupport Annual Fire Safety Statement (AFSS)
processes and essential services complianceConduct engineering site inspections and provide technical guidance throughout project deliveryDevelop and maintain engineering quality assurance systems and proceduresIdentify opportunities for sustainable building upgrades, building tuning and engineering improvementsDeliver technical training and mentoring to Engineers, Graduates and Service teamsSupport business development through technical advice and engineering expertiseBuild strong relationships with clients, consultants and internal stakeholdersChampion continuous improvement, innovation and engineering best practiceAbout YouYou are an experienced Mechanical Engineer with strong technical capability and a passion for developing people and improving engineering outcomes.Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)Minimum 4 years' experience within the Australian HVAC industryStrong knowledge of Australian Standards, NCC and mechanical building servicesExperience with HVAC design, engineering calculations and system complianceSound understanding of Green Star, NABERS, PCA Grade Guidelines, AIRAH, CIBSE and ASHRAEMembership with Engineers Australia (or eligibility)National Engineering Register (NER) registration, or willingness to obtainChartered Professional Engineer (CPEng), or commitment to achieve during employmentExcellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skillsA proactive approach with the ability to identify opportunities and drive continuous improvementAbout the Crest TeamCrest is one of Australia's most respected names in commercial air conditioning and building servicesWe specialise in the Design, Supply, Installation, Service and Maintenance of Commercial, Industrial and Residential HVAC systemsStrong reputation built on quality, innovation and exceptional customer serviceCollaborative, supportive culture where people genuinely enjoy working togetherStable business with more than 40 years of successful operationLong-term career opportunities with a company that values its people
