Inspect and grade fruits and vegetables to ensure compliance with grades, standards, and phytosanitary requirements
Job Duties
Visually inspects fruits and vegetables to determine grade and compliance with state and federal standards, industry contract specifications, and phytosanitary requirements.
Inspects and samples of fruits and vegetables.
Conducts trappings, surveys, and facility inspections.
Ensures compliance with state and federal laws applicable to products.
Checks size of fruits and vegetables, amount,



and seriousness of defects.
Observes and records colour characteristics, firmness, maturity, and shape.
Issues inspection report showing the grade and condition of the inspected fruits and vegetables.
Explains, both verbally and in writing, the grading system and related standards to produce and commodity clients.
Prepares and maintains reports, records, and forms related to the work.
Performs related work and other tasks as assigned.
Qualification
AQF Diploma or
Higher
1-3 years of experience in related field
Salary
$80,000 - $95,000 + Superannuation
Full Time:
38 hours per week
