Human Resources ManagerWAIDT Services Security (WSS) | Full-TimeAbout the RoleWAIDT Services Security (WSS) is seeking an experienced HR Manager to oversee the company's human resource operations and act as a trusted advisor to the CEO and Account Managers.
This is a highly visible role responsible for workforce planning, recruitment, employee relations, compliance and organisational development, supporting business growth while maintaining a positive, values-driven workplace culture across our security operations nationally.You will partner closely with the CEO and Account Managers to provide practical, commercially-focused HR support across the full employee lifecycle, balancing strategic priorities with day-to-day operational needs in a fast-paced, mobile workforce environment.Key ResponsibilitiesManage end-to-end recruitment and selection processes, partnering with hiring managers to support talent acquisition across a geographically dispersed workforcePrepare job descriptions, employment contracts and onboarding documentationWork with the Account Managers to oversee employee onboarding and induction programs to ensure a positive employee experience from day oneDevelop, implement and maintain HR policies and procedures aligned with best practice and legislative requirementsLead employee relations matters, including performance management, workplace investigations, disciplinary processes and conflict resolutionAdvise management on employment legislation, industrial relations and HR best practice, including compliance with the Fair Work Act, National Employment Standards and relevant Awards (including the Security Services Industry Award ****)Coordinate and deliver performance management and appraisal programs across the businessSupport workforce planning,
organisational design and succession planning activitiesDrive employee engagement, culture and wellbeing initiatives, with particular attention to the needs of a remote and site-based workforceCoordinate training and professional development initiatives, including compliance and licensing requirements specific to the security industryMaintain accurate HR records, systems and reporting to support data-driven decision-makingContribute to change management and organisational development initiatives as the business growsAbout YouYou are an experienced HR professional who combines sound judgement with genuine commercial awareness.
You build trusted relationships easily, communicate with clarity and confidence at all levels of the organisation, and thrive in an setting where priorities shift and no two days look the same.Must have:Previous experience in an HR Manager, Senior HR Advisor, HR Business Partner or similar roleStrong working knowledge of Australian employment legislation, industrial relations and HR best practiceDemonstrated experience managing employee relations matters and advising managers on complex people issuesExceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships across all levels of the organisationStrong problem-solving and decision-making skills,
with sound judgement in ambiguous situationsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office and HR information systemsRelevant tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business or a related disciplineNice to have:Experience within security, defence, government or another regulated, compliance-driven industryExperience supporting a dispersed, multi-site or field-based workforceExposure to organisational change, business growth or workforce integration activitiesMembership of AHRI or an equivalent professional bodyThe EnvironmentYou'll join a collaborative and supportive team, working closely with leaders across our national business.
