Behind every successful operation is a payroll function that ensures our people are paid accurately, on time and in line with legislative requirements.We're looking for an experienced Payroll Manager to join our team and take ownership of payroll operations across the Group.About the opportunityReporting to the Head of People & Culture, this is a hands-on leadership role responsible for overseeing the day-to-day payroll function while providing guidance and support to the Senior Payroll Officer.
Please note that this role can be based in Brisbane (North Lakes) or in Sydney (Bankstown).

This is an exciting opportunity for a payroll professional who enjoys working with systems, driving continuous improvement and helping optimise payroll processes in a growing business.Working closely with People & Culture, Finance and leaders across the organisation, you'll ensure payroll processes run smoothly, compliance obligations are met and employees receive the support they need when payroll questions arise.You'll also have the chance to identify and implement improvements that enhance payroll accuracy, efficiency and the overall employee experience.What you'll be doingLead and support the payroll team to deliver accurate and timely payroll outcomesOversee end-to-end payroll processing across multiple pay cyclesEnsure payroll data is accurate,
up to date and compliant with legislative requirementsManage payroll enquiries and assist with resolving complex payroll mattersOversee Single Touch Payroll, superannuation, taxation and other compliance reporting requirementsManage payroll reconciliations, reporting and audit requirementsWork closely with People & Culture and Finance teams to support business needsMaintain payroll systems and coordinate upgrades and enhancements when requiredIdentify opportunities to improve payroll processes, efficiency and service deliveryBuild positive working relationships with stakeholders across the businessAbout youWe're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys payroll, takes pride in accuracy and enjoys helping people.You will ideally have:Previous experience as a Payroll Manager or Senior Payroll OfficerStrong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, taxation and superannuation requirementsExperience leading or mentoring payroll staffA high level of accuracy and attention to detailStrong problem-solving skills and the ability to work through complex payroll mattersExcellent communication and customer service skillsThe ability to manage competing priorities and deadlinesExperience with payroll systems and reportingA collaborative approach and willingness to support the wider teamMost importantly, you'll be someone who enjoys building relationships, supporting others and contributing to a positive team culture.Join a successful and growing national businessBe part of a supportive and collaborative teamWork with leaders who value your expertiseOpportunity to influence and improve payroll processesOngoing learning and development opportunitiesCompetitive salary packageEnjoy being part of a business that genuinely values its people.If you're an experienced payroll professional looking for a leadership role where you can make a meaningful contribution, we'd love to hear from you.
