About the Role
GEM Resourcing is currently seeking an experienced Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to join a well-established heavy vehicle maintenance and repair business based in Kwinana Beach.
This is a permanent, local Perth position offering long-term stability and the opportunity to work across a variety of heavy trucks, trailers and associated equipment.
Working within a busy and supportive workshop, you will be responsible for servicing, maintenance, diagnostics and mechanical repairs.
Key Responsibilities
Complete scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance
Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out repairs
Work across engines, brakes, suspension, steering and driveline components
Conduct truck and trailer inspections
Complete major and minor mechanical repairs
Assist with component rebuilds and overhauls
Complete service reports and maintenance documentation
Ensure all work is completed safely and to a high standard
Work independently while supporting the wider workshop team
About You To be successful in this role, you will have:
Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology or an equivalent qualification
Previous post-trade heavy vehicle experience
Experience servicing and repairing trucks and trailers
Robust fault-finding and diagnostic skills
Sound knowledge of heavy vehicle mechanical systems
Current Australian driver’s licence
Good communication and time-management skills
A reliable and safety-focused attitude
Full Australian working rights
