The Role
As Planner / Programmer, you will be responsible for managing the full lifecycle of project programmes across Kenny Constructions' construction and civil projects.
You will be involved from the early stages of tendering and pre-contract planning, developing realistic and commercially aligned programmes, before transitioning into live project delivery where you will monitor progress, update programmes, identify potential delays and provide accurate reporting to the wider business.
Key Responsibilities
Develop detailed construction programmes for tenders and pre-contract submissions
Manage and maintain project programmes from pre-construction through to completion
Build and update programmes using Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project
Work closely with Estimators and Project Managers during tender and pre-contract stages
Develop baseline programmes, methodologies, staging and sequencing plans
Monitor progress against approved programmes and identify potential delays or programme risks
Conduct regular programme updates and progress reporting across live projects
Work closely with Project Managers, Site Managers, Supervisors and Foremen to capture accurate progress
Analyse critical paths, programme impacts, delays and project dependenciesProvide clear programme reporting and updates to senior management
Assist project teams with short-term lookaheads and construction sequencing
About You
Proven experience as a Planner, Programmer, Project Planner or Project Engineer within construction or civil construction
Solid understanding of construction methodologies, sequencing and project delivery
Experience developing programmes for both tenders and live construction projects
Advanced experience using Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project
Excellent analytical and reporting skills
Confident communicating with Project Managers, Site Managers and senior stakeholders
Ability to challenge programme performance and identify potential issues before they impact delivery
Construction, Civil Engineering or related industry experience essential
Relevant degree or qualification in Construction Management, Engineering or a related discipline preferred
