This is an opportunity to support the expansion of our Copper Recovery team.
Available for an immediate start.Role Purpose:As a Copper Technician, you are to support legacy network infrastructure projects secured by WV Technologies.
This leadership-oriented field role involves working across large-scale underground telecommunications networks, focusing on scoping, identification, and compliance activities.
This role requires manual handling and outdoor fieldwork, you will need to be physically fit and willing to travel as required within NSW.Success in this role you will seeSafe and efficient recovery of copper cables while ensuring minimal disruption to the Telstra and NBN networksScoping and identifying legacy telecommunications infrastructure in the fieldIdentifying pair ranges using appropriate tools and network documentationInterpreting and working from telco network plans and schematicsRecording accurate job data via iPad or other digital field reporting systemsSupporting the protected and efficient achievement of daily work targetsLeading or supporting a small onsite crewMonitor productivity, quality of work,
and report performance to Field SupervisorAny other duties as seen fit by the employer to fulfil your roleSkillsDemonstrated experience in legacy telecommunications network workProficiency in identifying pair ranges and interpreting copper pair mapsFamiliarity with cable jointing or fault-finding processesExcellent communication skills and strong attention to safetyAbility to work independently and in a leadership role within a field environmentCompetent with using iPads and digital work platformsQualificationsFull Work Rights in AustraliaCurrent and unrestricted Australia's Driver LicenseCurrent and valid FTTN accreditationsWhite CardACM accreditations and ability to follow asbestos management protocolsNational Police Check (or willingness to obtain)Pre-employment medical (may be required)What we care aboutDoing the Right Things for the Right ReasonsBe Adventurous, Active, Creative and IrrepressibleMove the RocksSee Around CornersWe know our team members are our greatest asset.
