This role is ideal for a technically strong skilled who enjoys combining design expertise, compliance knowledge, client engagement, and team leadership to deliver outstanding project outcomes.About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Design Coordinator to join our high‐performing team and contribute to the delivery of high‐quality technical design, documentation, and compliance outcomes across a diverse portfolio of residential and commercial projects.In this role, you will collaborate closely with builders, architects, consultants, and internal stakeholders to coordinate design documentation, review technical details, and support the development of accurate, compliant, and well‐structured project deliverables.
Your work will play a key part in ensuring design clarity, technical consistency, and smooth project progression.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and review waterproofing design reports and material selection assessmentsMark up design documentation and develop detailed technical drawings and construction detailsPrepare compliance reports and performance‐based design briefsAttend project meetings and technical workshops with clients and stakeholdersReview project documentation to ensure compliance with relevant standards and building codesOversee team workflow and project coordination activitiesMaintain accurate document control, record management,



and filing systemsRespond to internal and external technical queries regarding design documentation and revisionsBuild and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and quality service deliveryStay current with changes to Australian Standards, NCC requirements, and waterproofing best practicesAbout YouHighly organised and technically capable, with strong experience in design coordination, compliance, and construction documentationExceptional attention to detail, delivering accurate, compliant, and high‐quality work within project deadlinesConfident communicator with strong stakeholder management skillsAble to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and maintain reliable project deliveryBuilds strong relationships with clients and project teams through clear, proactive communicationCommitted to continuous improvement and professional developmentEnjoys mentoring junior team members and contributing to overall team successQualificationsDegree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experienceOngoing professional development relevant to waterproofing, design, or building complianceStrong knowledge of AS******, AS**** and the National Construction Code (NCC) Vol 1 & 2Skills & ExperienceMinimum 3 years' experience in design coordination, building consultancy, waterproofing consultancy, or a similar roleExperience with AutoCAD (2D and 3D) desirableStrong experience using Bluebeam Revu and project management softwareExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong attention to detail and technical accuracyAbility to manage competing deadlines and prioritiesExperience mentoring, training, and supporting junior team membersStrong stakeholder and client relationship management skills
