Key Responsibilities
Light and heavy vehicles, trailers, and hydraulic systems
Chainsaws, chippers, stump grinders, and other arboricultural tools
Mowers, brush cutters, blowers, and small plant equipment
Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out repairs efficiently.
Maintain service logs, inspection sheets, and maintenance schedules.
Ensure all machinery complies with safety and operational standards.
Assist with workshop organisation and cleanliness.
Support field teams with breakdowns and in office repairs when required.
Liaise with management to plan preventative maintenance schedules.
Essential Requirements
Qualified mechanic (Cert III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology, Plant Mechanics, or equivalent).
Demonstrated experience maintaining hydraulic systems,
and diesel/petrol equipment.
Proven ability to work independently and manage priorities.
Solid diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
Current valid driver’s licence (HR or MR licence advantageous).
Understanding of workplace safety (OHS/WHS) standards.
Reliable, proactive, and team-oriented attitude.
Desirable Skills
Experience with arboricultural or grounds maintenance equipment.
Welding and fabrication ability.
Electrical troubleshooting knowledge.
Forklift ticket, EWP, or similar licences.
Ability to assist in equipment modifications or efficiency improvements.
