Key Responsibilities
Prepare and cook breakfast and lunch menu items to established recipes and standards.
Undertake daily food preparation and mise en place.
Operate grills, ovens and other commercial kitchen equipment.
Maintain food quality, consistency and presentation standards.
Monitor stock levels and assist with stock rotation.
Receive, inspect and store deliveries appropriately.
Maintain a clean and organised kitchen setting.
Follow food safety, HACCP and workplace health and safety requirements.
Work effectively as part of a team during busy service periods.
Assist with kitchen organisation and daily operational requirements.

Essential Requirements




Minimum 2 years of relevant commercial cookery experience and/or a relevant commercial cookery qualification.
Sound knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
Ability to work efficiently in a rapid-paced kitchen environment.
Robust communication and teamwork skills.
Availability to work weekends and public holidays where required.

Desirable Requirements
Certificate III or Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent.
Experience working in a busy café environment.
Food Safety certification.

Pay: From $71,500.00 per year
