This is a casual position that offers flexibility, while making a meaningful difference of lives in our community.As a disability support worker, you will provide essential support and assistance to individuals with varying disabilities.
You will work 1:1 with people of all ages and backgrounds, supporting in homes and out in the community.
From sharing a walk in the park to helping someone build life skills, your presence will matter every single day.What you'll be doingProviding personal care including bathing, grooming and dressing.Assist with meal preparation and dietary support as required.Support people with shopping and housekeepingSupporting people to work towards their goals, whether that's building independence or social inclusion.Develop and maintain positive relationships,



based on trust and respect.Encourage and support clients to be part of their community and do what they love.Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients and their families based on trust and respectMaintain accurate and confidential records of supports provided.Communicate effectively with supervisors and team membersWe are looking for people who are:Compassionate, patient and have a genuine commitment to supporting people in our community.Reliable with a strong work ethic, the ability to work independently and also part of a team.
Understanding of disability support principalsAble to maintain confidentiality, boundaries, and sensitive information.Outstanding communicators, active listeners and emotionally intelligent.Requirements:A current First Aid Certificate and CPRA valid Australian Driver's License and a reliable, registered vehicle WWVP Completion of the NDIS Workers Orientation Module - "Quality, Safety and You" Prior experience and qualifications are highly desirable.Why join us?
