Our Maintenance team have a vacancy for an experienced Grounds person to assist our team in the maintenance, care and overall appearance of all lawns, gardens and surrounds of our property to a high standard of presentation. At times you will also be required to assist in general golf course duties.

We are accepting applications for either a qualified Horticulturist or an unqualified Groundsperson and will make our decision based on quality and suitability of the applications received.

A current Farm Chemical Users certificate and NSW Drivers Licence is essential for either position. Horticulture trade qualifications and previous experience on a golf course and utilising golf course machinery will be highly regarded, though not required.

Duties will include:

· Assist in the development and maintenance of the gardens and grounds

· Daily performance of horticultural tasks in the areas of gardening and landscape design and construction

· Operation and maintenance of a wide range of horticultural equipment

· Identification and diagnosis of pests and diseases and treatment using chemical and biological methods

· Correct pruning of trees,



shrubs and hedges in accordance with the cultural requirements of the individual plant variety

· Selection and application of suitable fertilisers. Conduct basic soil analysis

· Mulching garden areas

· Mow and renovate lawn and turf areas

· Propagate plants for use on the property

· Development and maintenance of indoor and potted plant displays

· General assistance to the Greenkeeping department in the care and maintenance of the golf course

Essential

Ø Proven experience undertaking the above duties

Ø Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ø Excellent presentation and personal grooming standards

Ø Excellent time management skills with the ability to stay on task, work to a schedule and prioritise multiple tasks

Ø Physically fit and capable of sustained walking, standing, lifting and carrying and operating a range of equipment and machinery
