This is a site‑based HSE Advisor role working closely with an experienced project team to drive safety performance and foster a proactive safety culture across a large‑scale development.
Key Responsibilities
Leading day‑to‑day HSE activities across the project site
Conducting site inductions, inspections, and audits (SWMS, plant, equipment)
Managing incident investigations and corrective actions
Driving compliance with WHS legislation and safety management plans
Facilitating toolbox talks, pre‑starts, and safety meetings
Monitoring subcontractor compliance and safety performance
Maintaining safety systems and records (including digital platforms like HammerTech)
Promoting continuous improvement and a strong safety‑first culture
About You
You are a proactive and confident HSE qualified who thrives in a fast‑paced construction environment. You’ll bring:
Proven experience in a site‑based HSE role within construction (multi‑story / residential / commercial construction)
Solid knowledge of QLD WHS legislation and Codes of Practice
Experience managing subcontractors on large‑scale projects
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Solid auditing, inspection, and incident investigation capabilities
A hands‑on, solutions‑focused approach to safety
