Wellers Hill School Age Child Care Service (SACCS) is run by the Wellers Hill State School P&C; Association and has grown into a thriving hub of the school community.

You'll set the direction, safeguard quality and compliance, and lead a large team to deliver a program that is consistent with the National Quality Standard and brings the My Time, Our Place framework to life.You will lead, guide and develop the service's Coordinator, Assistant Coordinator, Lead Educators and Educators - building a culture of high performance, high morale and continuous improvement.




The successful candidate will be instrumental in re-shaping the structure of the OSHC service to align the roles and responsibilities for quality service provision into the future.What you'll doLead the strategy and the standardSet and drive strategic plans that grow the service's quality, sustainability and reachReport on milestones and performance, and hold the service to an exceeding standard across every quality areaLead the re-structure of the service to ensure roles and responsibilities are clearly designated and resourced for quality service provision into the future.Own operational excellence and complianceEnsure day-to-day operations comply with Education and Care Services legislation and the National Quality FrameworkDevelop sound policies and procedures, and confidently maintain all legal and regulatory obligations, resolving and reporting discrepancies to the Approved ProviderChampion critical reflection, quality improvement and contemporary, play-based practiceKeep children safe and wellLead risk assessment, hazard identification and workplace health and safety across the serviceSupport the child protection risk management strategy and manage the response to incidents and significant eventsManage the numbersSteward the service's finances as delegated by the P&C; to keep it in a robust, sustainable positionDeliver accurate financial reporting and analysis, and spot opportunities for smarter business practiceGrow and support the teamLead recruitment, induction, rostering (to qualification and ratio requirements), performance reviews and development plansFoster a positive, supportive culture and build the capability of educators and leadersMaintain sound HR administration, records, and workforce planning, including monitoring blue card (WWCC) currencyPartner with families and the communityBuild warm, respectful relationships with families, school leadership and the wider communityRespond to concerns and complaints fairly and transparently, and build partnerships across the OSHC sectorWhat you'll bringQualificationsEssential: Diploma of Children's Services (or equivalent), plus evidence of relevant ongoing training and learningDesirable: A tertiary (bachelor-level) qualification in a relevant disciplineKnowledgeSound, applied understanding of OSHC operations, including the Education and Care Services National Law and RegulationsSound, applied,
