CivilPlus Constructions is a proudly Townsville-based Civil & Marine Infrastructure contractor delivering quality projects across North Queensland.What We OfferHighly competitive ratesPaid lunch breakEmployment under the FWA-compliant CivilPlus Enterprise AgreementMonthly RDOOpportunity to work on diverse Civil & Marine Infrastructure projects across QueenslandOngoing training, development and career progression opportunitiesA supportive team that values safety, quality and teamworkA stable company with a strong reputation and long-term project pipelineAbout the RoleReporting to the Construction Supervisor, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of excavators across a variety of civil construction projects.This is a hands-on role where you will work closely with supervisors, leading hands and ground crews to complete excavation works safely, efficiently to a high standard and assisting site crews with general labouring duties when required.You will be responsible for carrying out excavation activities while maintaining CivilPlus' commitment to safety, quality and environmental compliance.Key ResponsibilitiesSafely operate excavators across a range of civil construction projects.Complete bulk earthworks, detailed excavation, trenching and drainage works.Assist with excavation around underground services and existing infrastructure.Perform final trim and detailed excavation where required.Conduct daily pre-start inspections and routine maintenance checks.Work safely around other plant, personnel and live work environments.Read and interpret construction plans and site instructions.Work closely with site supervisors and ground crews to achieve project objectives.Maintain plant in a clean, safe and serviceable condition.Comply with all company Safety,



Quality and Environmental Management Systems.Assist with general site duties when required.About YouWe're looking for a reliable and safety-conscious operator who enjoys working in a team environment and takes pride in producing quality work.The successful applicant will demonstrate:Proven experience operating excavators within the civil construction industry.Experience with bulk earthworks, trenching and detailed excavation.Strong understanding of safe excavation practices.Ability to work around underground services and confined work areas.Excellent communication and teamwork skills.Strong commitment to workplace safety.Good time management and organisational skills.Positive attitude and strong work ethic.Current Driver Licence.Construction White Card.Excavator Operator competency/ticket (RII or equivalent).
Demonstrated experience operating excavators in the civil construction industry.Ability to work safely and efficiently.Willingness to work on regional and remote projects when required.HR Driver Licence.Experience operating additional civil plant such as Dozers, Loaders, Rollers, Skid Steers or Water Carts.Dogman, Rigging, Working at Heights or Confined Space tickets.First Aid Certificate.Experience working on Civil & Marine Infrastructure projects.Why Join CivilPlus?
