About the Role

You will be responsible for completing detailed excavation works, supporting civil teams on site, and ensuring all tasks are carried out safely and to specification. This is a full‑time role offering long hours, stability and strong career prospects with a respected civil contractor.

Key Responsibilities
Excavation of sewer, stormwater, water and plumbing trenches
Working safely around live underground services (water, gas, electrical, comms)
Reading and interpreting service plans and locating information
Secure excavation within road corridors and construction sites
Trenching, backfilling, bedding and reinstatement works
Daily machine checks, inspections and basic maintenance
Assisting the crew when not operating machinery

Essential Requirements
Minimum 5 years’ excavator operating experience in civil construction




Proven experience excavating around underground services
Strong background in plumbing, sewer and stormwater trenching
HR Driver’s Licence is a bonus
White Card
Solid understanding of secure excavation practices
Ability to work unsupervised and take ownership of tasks
Reliable, punctual and safety‑focused
