Our Brisbane office currently has an exciting opportunity for an individual to take the next step with a rapidly growing business as a Client Accountant.
This is a engaging and client-facing role with the ability to build strong relationships.
We're looking for a confident and driven professional who enjoys working closely with clients and is ready to step up and contribute to a high performing team.
What you will be doing?
Providing end-to-end financial and management accounting support internally and externally
Acting as point of contact for your portfolio of clients
Preparation of client annual financial reports (IFRS)
Assistance with preparation and lodgement of BAS/IAS, FBT and Income Tax Returns
Management and oversight of bookkeeping team
Preparation of budgets and financial reports
Providing payroll services to clients including Workers Insurance registrations, Payroll Tax and STP reporting
What are we looking for?
An accounting degree and membership of a recognised accounting body (or studying towards membership)
At least 3-4 years' experience in a role responsible for corporate financial management and taxation
Extensive experience in the provision of end-to-end financial management and accounting services, including preparation of financial statements, cash flow reports,
and statutory financial accounts
Experience preparing and lodging BAS and IAS statement, treasury management and payroll management
A high level of computer literacy and experience with cloud-based software solutions
Advanced knowledge of Xero, Microsoft Excel and MS Office applications
A friendly personality with a high attention to customer service
Strong organisational skills, capacity to successfully manage competing priorities with demonstrated ability to work autonomously and as a team
High level written communication skills; ability to prepare, review and edit correspondence and reports in an appropriate style
A high level of attention to detail, diligent work ethic with a customer focus
Ability to work effectively in a remote, unsupervised and independent capacity
Ability to think laterally and develop creative, cutting-edge solutions to challenges.
The following additional attributes would also be beneficial for the applicant:
Registration as a BAS Agent or Tax Agent
Compliance experience in dealing with regulatory bodies including ASIC, ATO etc
Experience preparing and lodging BAS and IAS statements
Experience with payroll management
Advanced knowledge of Xero and Microsoft Excel
