Our modern workshop is equipped with the latest technology to deliver high-standard repairs and ensure vehicles are restored to their pre-accident condition.Position OverviewAs a Diesel Motor Mechanic at our site in East Perth, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and overhaul of diesel engines and related systems in heavy mining equipment.
Your expertise will ensure that our machinery operates efficiently and reliably, supporting our mining operations and minimising downtime.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform routine maintenance and inspections on diesel engines and heavy equipment, including excavators, loaders, haul trucks and gradersDiagnose and repair mechanical issues, including engine performance problems, hydraulic system failures,



and electrical faultsOverhaul and rebuild diesel engines and other key components as neededMaintain accurate records of work performed, including parts used and labour hoursCollaborate with other maintenance staff and supervisors to plan and execute repairs and preventative maintenanceEnsure all work is completed in compliance with safety regulations and company standardsAssist with ordering and maintaining inventory of necessary parts and toolsAssist with the development and implementation of maintenance procedures and best practicesRespond to breakdowns and urgent repair needs promptly, prioritizing tasks based on operational requirementsQualificationsTrade or equivalent qualification is preferable2 -3 years of experience as a Diesel Motor MechanicStrong understanding of diesel engine systems, hydraulic systems, and electrical troubleshooting.Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Robust commitment to safety and adherence to safety protocols.Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.Valid "C Class" driver's license; additional licenses or certifications (e.g., forklift, crane) are advantageous.
