Your main base will be our largest home called St Georges, in Altona Meadows, but travel will be required to other residential aged care homes in the West including Roxburgh Park, Glenroy, and Brunswick.ResponsibilitiesOur Maintenance Officers are responsible for routine building and grounds maintenance to help ensure a safe and good-looking home for the residents:Maintain a safe and attractive living setting to suit the needs of the residentsIdentify and prioritise resident needs to create a more home like environmentAssist in the selection of trades people to undertake specific tasksMaintain a planned preventative program along with ensuring documentation requirements are metAttend to the maintenance of buildings, ground and utilities in line with the scheduleAbout YouDemonstrated knowledge and experience in a trade, domestic repair,



general handyman + Certificate / experience in a relevant tradeExperience with an electronic maintenance management systemExperience in identifying standards as they relate to the provision of building maintenanceA genuine interest in learning new skills, being outdoors and hands‐on who will enjoy chatting with residentsA commitment to continuous improvement that enhances resident livesFriendly and personable to interact with the residentsExperience in Maintenance Officer positions is required.
