Direct Line Couriers is seeking a dedicated and reliable MR Driver to join our team in Port Macquarie, NSW.
This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in our operations, ensuring timely and safe delivery of parcels and freight across our service region.
As an MR Driver, you will be responsible for operating a medium rigid vehicle to transport goods to customers whilst maintaining the highest standards of customer service and safety compliance.The job will involve starting at 9.30pm to 9.30 am.
generally, hrs will be Sunday night to Thursday night/Friday morning- 5 nights a week, please note this job involves loading & unloading of serval hundred items, some heavy, each night, so you will need to be physically fit.
This job will also involve you working unsupervised so reliability is an absolute must for this position.Key responsibilitiesOperate a medium rigid (MR) vehicle safely and efficiently to transport parcels and freight to designated delivery locationsPlan and execute delivery routes in a timely manner, adhering to schedules and meeting customer expectationsConduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the vehicle is in safe working conditionMaintain accurate records of deliveries, both paper & electronicHandle freight carefully and professionally, ensuring goods are loaded, secured and unloaded appropriatelyProvide excellent customer service, communicating professionally with customers at delivery pointsComply with all relevant road transport legislation, including weight limits,



driving hours regulations and safety requirementsReport any vehicle defects or safety concerns to management immediatelyMaintain a clean and well-organised vehicle interior and exteriorWhat we're looking forA current and valid Australian driving licence with an MR (Medium Rigid) classificationProven experience as an MR driver or equivalent heavy vehicle driving experienceStrong knowledge of road traffic rules and heavy vehicle safety regulationsExcellent time management and organisational skillsA safety-conscious approach with a commitment to zero incidentsProfessional communication and customer service skillsThe ability to work independently and as part of a teamPhysical fitness to handle manual loading and unloading of freightA clean driving record with a focus on safe driving practicesour vehicles are nonsmoking/non vaping as they are shared amongst drivers as neededAbout usDirect Line Couriers is an established courier and logistics company operating throughout Current South Wales.
