Learn more about us and what we do at aware.com.auYour New RoleAs Manager, Asset Governance, you'll partner closelywith investment teams, senior executives, company boards and governancestakeholders to strengthen governance practices across Aware's direct assetportfolio.
You'll also help manage and evolve Aware's representative directorecosystem from talent identification and board appointments through toonboarding, development, remuneration, succession planning and engagement.This is a highly visible role that combines strategicthinking with hands-on execution and offers exposure to senior leaders andboard members across Australia and internationally.What you'll doYou will:Support the governance framework forAware's representative director ecosystem and director talent poolCoordinate board director recruitment,assessment, appointment and succession planning activitiesManage director onboarding, engagement,remuneration reviews and development programmesDevelop and maintain governance policies,processes,



registers and reportingPrepare high-quality committee and boardpapers and present recommendations to governance forumsPartner with investment teams to assessand enhance governance outcomes across direct asset investmentsManage the delivery of director trainingand engagement activities including Aware's director event programmeSupport governance health checks,benchmarking activities and governance improvement initiativesProvide governance advice to investmentsector teams and portfolio company stakeholdersLead key governance and complianceactivities, including director declarations of interests and Fit &Proper; assessmentsHow do you exceed our expectations?
You'll bring a blendof governance expertise, stakeholder management capability and commercialacumen, together with a passion for helping organisations operate effectivelyand responsibly.You'll (likely) have:5–10 years' experience in governance,company secretariat, legal, investment governance, executiverecruitment or a related fieldExperience supporting boards, directors orgovernance frameworks in complex organisationsA strong understanding of board governancepractices and director appointment processesExperience managing senior internal andexternal stakeholders with confidence and credibilityStrong organisational skills and theability to navigate complexity, ambiguity and competing prioritiesAn appreciation of the regulatory andlegislative environment in which large institutional investors andsuperannuation funds operateRelevant tertiary qualifications ingovernance, law, business,
