B&D; building solution P/L – Strathfield South NSWJunior & Senior Fire Technicians – Multiple Full-Time PositionsLocation: Strathfield South, NSWCompany: B&D; Building Solution P/LB&D; Building Solution P/L is seeking multiple reliable and motivated Junior and Senior Fire Technicians to join our growing team on a permanent full-time basis.Based from our Strathfield South office, successful applicants will inspect, test, service and maintain fire protection systems across commercial, industrial and residential properties throughout Sydney and surrounding areas.Whether you are looking to begin a career in the fire protection industry or are an experienced technician seeking your next opportunity, we would like to hear from you.Key responsibilitiesInspect, test, service and maintain fire protection systems in accordance with relevant Australian Standards, legislation and manufacturer requirementsCarry out routine servicing and preventative maintenance on fire detection, alarm, emergency warning and fire suppression systemsDiagnose system faults and complete repairs or provide clear recommendations for rectificationRespond to system faults, urgent service requests and emergency call-outs when requiredInstall and commission fire protection equipment and system componentsComplete accurate service reports, inspection records and compliance documentationClearly communicate findings and recommendations to clients, building managers and the B&D; office teamEnsure all work is completed safely, professionally and in accordance with site requirementsMaintain company tools, equipment and vehicles in good working conditionKeep up to date with relevant Australian Standards,



legislation and developments within the fire protection industrySenior technicians may also be required to:Diagnose and resolve complex system faultsAssist with commissioning and major rectification worksProvide technical support and guidance to junior techniciansReview completed work and ensure service quality and compliance requirements are metJunior Fire Technician requirementsWe are looking for candidates who have:Fire protection industry experience is not required.A genuine interest in developing a long-term career in the fire protection industryA willingness to learn and undertake practical and technical trainingGood practical and problem-solving skillsStrong attention to detailGood communication skills and a professional attitudeThe ability to follow instructions and work safely as part of a teamA current Australian driver's licence (desirable)Physical fitness and willingness to work at heights or in confined spaces when requiredA strong commitment to workplace health and safetyPrevious experience in electrical, mechanical, construction, maintenance or another trade-related field will be highly regarded but is not essential.Senior Fire Technician requirementsApplicants must have a minimum of two years' experience working as a Fire Technician or in a similar fire protection role.We are looking for candidates who have:At least two years of relevant fire protection industry experienceRelevant NSW fire protection licences, accreditation or eligibility to obtain the required accreditation (desirable)Strong knowledge of fire detection, alarm, emergency warning and fire suppression systemsA sound understanding of applicable Australian Standards and National Construction Code requirementsThe ability to read technical drawings,
