Working within an innovative and agile environment, you will have the prospect to make a meaningful impact on the career growth of our participants and their communities.Build strong, respectful relationshipswith First Nations participantsProvide individualised mentoring and coaching to supportwork readinessAssist clients in identifying career goals and developing job plansPrepare and assist participants to keep employment once gained.Connect participantswith suitable training, employment, and community support servicesLiaise with employers to support sustainable employment outcomesMaintain accurate records and comply with Workforce Australia contractual obligationsSkills and experiencesDemonstrate strong cultural competency in working with First Nations communitiesParticipate in connection with community, respect relationships and apply this respect to each participant across all diverse cultural backgroundsAbility to apply mentoring, case management, and employment servicesStrong understanding of issues affecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in relation to employmentExcellent interpersonal and communication skills, including active listening and advocacyAbility to work independently and as part of a teamKnowledge of local community services, employers, and support networksHigh level of organisational and time management skillsProficient in Microsoft Office and/or case management systemsUnderstanding of typical barriers faced by unemployed participants, particularly parents returning to the workforceStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to meet and exceed outcome-focused KPIsMust pass and have a current Police CheckMust pass and have a current Working with Children Check and/or Vulnerable Persons Check
