Expression of Interest – Casual Academic Roles – Sydney School of Education and Social WorkWe invite applications for casual academic positionswithin theDiscipline of Social Work and Policy Studiesin the Sydney School of Education and Social Workfor Semester 1, ****.Key Information Before Applying:Student visa holders must comply with their visa's work-hour restrictions.Australian citizens and permanent residents may not teach more than three Units of Study (UOS).
Pay Rates (Indicative)M05 Marking: $*****/hrA02 Other Academic Activities (including Capstone Supervision): $*****/hrContracts & TrainingOngoing Casual Academics with active contracts must still complete the EOI form (no new contract needed).
All casual academics must complete all training required by the Faculty and the School.Teaching AllocationsUnit allocations may change due to enrolment fluctuations up to the census date.LocationStaff must remain in Sydney for the duration of the semester, including exams.
Remote overseas work is not permitted.ApplicationsOnly one application per person will be accepted.

Candidates who bring both skilled experience and disciplinary knowledge will be highly valued.Expected DutiesDepending on the role, unit of study, and your qualifications, duties may include:Delivering tutorialsSupporting lectures and workshopsMarking assessments and contributing to academic administrationCasual academic rates will be commensurate with the duties undertaken, as outlined in theUniversity of Sydney Enterprise Agreement.About YouWe welcome EOIs from individuals who:Can provide evidence of high-quality teaching experience aligned with their area(s)
