About the role/company
Our client is a global med tech company specialising in infection prevention, sterilisation, and contamination control solutions for healthcare industries. They are seeking an experienced Repair Operations Manager to lead ANZ repair operations based in Sydney. Reporting to global leadership, you will drive operational performance across repair workshops, ensuring delivery against key objectives in Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Employee Engagement. This role is ideal for a hands‑on operations leader with strong technical understanding and a passion for continuous improvement within a regulated medical or engineering setting.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage repair operations across ANZ, setting direction and performance targets
Oversee end‑to‑end repair processes including turnaround time, quality, cost, and safety
Manage budgets, labour utilisation, and repair cost efficiency
Drive Lean and continuous improvement initiatives across operations
Develop and mentor a high‑performing team of supervisors and technicians
Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 13485, and regulatory standards
Collaborate with Customer Service, Sales, Product Management, and global teams
Resolve technical and quality issues while improving operational systems
Support new product introduction and repair capability development
Manage repair workshop infrastructure, equipment, and workforce planning
Deliver customer presentations, technical training, and stakeholder engagement
Skills & Experience
Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Science, or related field
Extensive experience in repair/service operations specifically with endoscopes
Strong knowledge of medical device or regulated environments (ISO/MDD/GMP)
Proven ability to lead teams and drive operational excellence
Experience managing budgets, KPIs, and performance metrics
Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills
Excellent stakeholder engagement and customer‑facing capability
Advanced MS Office and systems/reporting tools experience
Experience in sterilisation, surgical, endoscopy, or technical service environments highly regarded
