Hobartville Long Day Preschool is seeking an organised, proactive and professional Administration Officer to support the day-to-day operations of our not-for-profit Preschool.
This role is ideal for someone who has strong financial administration skills and is passionate about supporting children, families and educators within their community.About the RoleReporting directly to the Director, the Administration Officer plays a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the preschool's administrative, financial and enrolment systems.This position requires a highly organised individual who can work both independently and collaboratively while maintaining excellent customer service and attention to detail.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate advanced computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word, with robust critical thinking, problem-solving and analytical abilities.This position is part-time, offering flexibility in your working hours.Key ResponsibilitiesFinance & PayrollManaging accounts payable and accounts receivablePayroll processing and payroll complianceBank and account reconciliationsMaintaining accurate financial records using XeroMonth-end financial reportingGeneral administrative duties related to financeSupporting families with billing and CCS enquiries.AdministrationSupporting enrolments,



waitlists and family recordsResponding to family enquiries via phone and emailOrdering office supplies and conducting stock auditsSupporting business continuity planning and documentationAbout YouMinimum 2 years' experience in an administrative roleMinimum 2 years' experience in accounts payable and receivableProficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly ExcelPrevious payroll processing experienceStrong communication and customer service skillsExcellent attention to detail and high level of accuracyAbility to maintain strict confidentialityHobartville Long Day Preschool is committed to child safety, and as such, all successful applicants:Must hold a current Working with Children Check or be willing to obtain one and must also complete Mandatory Child Safety training as part of the induction process.Certificate IV in Business Administration, Business Studies or a related field preferred but not requiredExperience using XeroExperience using XplorUnderstanding of mandatory reporting requirements in early childhood educationPrevious experience within an early childhood education and care serviceUnderstanding of Fair Work Awards and payroll complianceWhy Join Us?
