Support Worker to assist a customer to become more independent, in their own home and in the community.As a Support Worker your responsibilities will include:Mentoring and skill development – guiding customers to explore and develop their personal interests/hobbiesCoaching independent living skills such as cooking, domestic and social skillsAdministering medication and adherence to individual support plansCompleting clear, concise and factual handover notes and incident reportsProviding personal care such as toileting, showering, feeding and dressing when requiredHelping customers engage with their local communities and culture through access to Community Participation Programs and recreational activitiesPersonal care is a must, and must be comfortable and knowledgeable in doing so.Epilepsy management knowledge is essential.Community Access will also be a requirement at certain times.Solid understanding of mental health conditions (depression, anxiety, schizophrenia, mood disorders).
Understanding of mental health crisis management.Make It Matter – What you will bring to make a difference in other's livesBe willing to be work a variety of shifts which includes mornings, afternoons, evenings, awake shifts,
