As a Maintenance Assistant at the Outstanding Keppel Island Hideaway, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of this picturesque island resort.
Working as part of a dedicated team, you will be responsible for a variety of maintenance and handyperson duties to maintain the high standards expected by our guests.
This full-time position is based on the beautiful Great Keppel Island in Queensland.On-island accommodation is provided for this remote location role.What you'll be doingPerform general maintenance tasks such as painting, minor repairs, and preventative maintenancePerform the refuse collection and recycling duties on site.Assist with the maintenance and upkeep of resort facilities, equipment, and infrastructureProvide support for various resort operations as needed, including event setup and cleaningRespond promptly to maintenance requests and work orders from guests and staffCollaborate with the maintenance team to identify and address any issues or areas for improvementEnsure all work is carried out safely and in compliance with relevant regulations and company policiesWhat we're looking forStrong practical skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve a variety of maintenance issuesA keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to problem-solvingGood communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a teamA positive attitude and a commitment to delivering customer serviceEntry level candidates are welcome, with no minimum years of maintenance or handyperson experience requiredAustralian work rights are required for this positionWhat we offerAt the Great Keppel Island Hideaway, we are dedicated to creating a supportive and rewarding work environment for our employees.
