LGB Marine and Contracting is seeking a skilled and experienced Bridge and Wharf Carpenter to join our team in Newcastle, NSW.
This is a casual role with the possibility for full time employment, providing the successful candidate with the prospect to work on a variety of marine construction and maintenance projects across the Newcastle area.
What you'll be doing
Constructing, repairing and maintaining bridges, wharves, jetties and other marine infrastructure
Operating a range of power tools and hand tools to complete carpentry tasks
Collaborating with the construction team to ensure projects are delivered to high quality standards
Adhering to all relevant environmental and safety regulations and using appropriate personal protective equipment
What we're looking for
Formal qualifications in Bridge and Wharf carpentry or a related trade
High risk work licence
Experience working on bridge and wharf construction and maintenance projects
Strong knowledge of building codes, regulations and safety standards
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Focus on Safety in the workplace
NSW Drivers licence, HR License is desirable
