Amazon Logistics is seeking an Operations Supervisor to collaborate with the Operations Shift Manager and Delivery Station Manager in driving innovation and ensuring effective execution within transportation networks.
This role requires a proactive leader capable of inspiring a team to achieve performance goals and productivity standards that align with company objectives.
The ideal candidate will also be responsible for monitoring team attendance and workflow, working closely with the Operations Shift Manager and Delivery Station Manager to identify and resolve any issues that may arise.
The work schedule is back end sortation, from Wednesday to Saturday.Amazon Operations and Distribution is a 24/7 workplace and shifts may change due to business needs.Key job responsibilitiesContribute to fostering a strong health and safety culture by ensuring adherence to relevant laws and internal policiesAssist in the daily oversight and management of departmental tasksConduct staff debriefs, ensuring all paperwork is accurately and thoroughly completedPerform duties in line with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)Allocate tasks to staff as needed to maintain workflow and meet daily performance targetsEnsure adequate staffing levels for your area,
including managing call outs for training, addressing absences, overseeing performance, providing coaching, and continually monitoring department productivitySupport the onboarding and training of new associates to ensure they possess the necessary knowledge to perform required tasksCollaborate with the Operations Shift Manager and Delivery Station Manager in tracking, analyzing, and reporting Exchange Point metricsSupport the Operations Shift Manager and Delivery Station Manager in identifying and understanding factors contributing to the achievement or shortfall of Exchange Point objectivesMonitor and report on associate hours and schedulesAddress and resolve process-related issues within the area as neededEnsure timely and accurate reporting of equipment defectsAdditional requirements and benefitsWork a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidaysCan lift up to 49 pounds, stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reachExperience working in a warehouse, logistics, manufacturing or similar
