About the role
We are seeking an experienced Parts Manager to join our team in Albion, QLD.
This is a full-time position that plays a critical role in our automotive operations.
As Parts Manager, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of our parts inventory, procurement, and distribution to support our service operations and customer needs.
This position is essential to ensuring efficient service delivery and customer satisfaction, directly impacting the profitability and reputation of the business.
Key responsibilities
Manage and oversee all automotive parts inventory, including ordering, receiving, storage and organisation of parts
Develop and maintain strong relationships with parts suppliers and distributors to ensure timely delivery and competitive pricing
Monitor stock levels and implement effective inventory control systems to minimise wastage and maximise availability
Process purchase orders and manage supplier accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company procedures
Maintain detailed records of all parts transactions, inventory movements and stock reconciliations
Liaise with service technicians and workshop staff to understand parts requirements and provide technical support
Identify opportunities to improve parts availability, reduce costs and enhance operational efficiency
Ensure compliance with all relevant automotive industry standards and company policies




Provide exceptional customer service when handling parts enquiries and orders
Train and support team members involved in parts management activities
What we're looking for
Proven experience as a Parts Manager or in a similar automotive parts management role
Strong knowledge of automotive parts, components and their applications, particularly in the EV or modern vehicle sector
Proficiency in parts management systems and inventory control software
Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Robust negotiation skills and experience managing supplier relationships
Attention to detail and accuracy in record keeping and inventory management
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
Sound understanding of automotive industry practices and standards
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Preferably, experience with XPENG vehicles or Chinese automotive brands would be advantageous
Current driver's licence and willingness to occasionally visit supplier locations
