Our senior solicitors are rated by Doyle's Guide as Pre-eminent Family Lawyers in North Queensland.Our intention is to deliver high quality legal services in a professional manner that achieves our client's best outcome.Your RoleYou will provide specialised paralegal and administrative support to Solicitors in our firm.Your work will include:Court document drafting and other paralegal skillsSupporting clients with their queries and their paperworkManaging and conducting conflict checksMaking appointments with clients, preparing, sending and processing client retainer agreementsAssisting with billing proceduresWord processing, creating and editing documents such as letters, precedent Court documents, briefs to Counsel, land title documents (transfers, caveats, withdrawal of caveats)



and other documents using the firm's LEAP practice management softwareElectronic court filingCommunication and matter management with Barristers (including Senior Counsel)Preparing Briefs to CounselLiaising with other law firms and third parties;Facilitating administrative arrangements to support electronic Court appearances by telephone or by video conferencing such as through Microsoft Teams and WebexUsing the firm's limitation date diary and file bring-up systemsFile opening and file archivingFiling correspondence and other file material on hard copy client filesCollating Lists of Documents (disclosure)Skills and experienceThe ideal candidate will have the following qualities:Positive, cheerful attitudeAttention to detail and pride taken in work tasksExcellent organisational skillsIntention to be of the best service you can to work colleagues, clients and anyone you come into contact withExperience using a document management system (preferable though not essential)Experience and skills using Microsoft Office 365Experience in the area of Family LawThere is a Casual Position offered, 2-3 days per week with possible additional periods.
