Every week, members of our community visit our Mercer Street Social Supermarket to access
affordable groceries in a welcoming and respectful workplace, as a volunteer you will be working alongside a friendly team of volunteers and staff to help to create that experience.

Whether you're studying, working part-time, transitioning into retirement, looking to
volunteer with a friend, or simply wanting to give back to your community, there's a place
for you at Geelong Foodshare.

What you'll be doing: Depending on the shift, you may assist with:
Welcoming and assisting customers
Supporting customers at the checkout (training provided)
Replenishing supermarket shelves and displays
Preparing and presenting fresh fruit and vegetables
Assisting customers with general enquiries and directing them to support services
where required
Working collaboratively with volunteers and staff to provide a positive shopping
experience
Recording basic stock or operational data
General cleaning and housekeeping
Every shift makes a difference
