The Department of Education is seeking skilled and culturally responsive Teacher Aide - Language Model (Auslan) applicants to join a Statewide Recruitment Pool supporting Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) students across Queensland state schools.Language Models play a vital role in promoting first-language development in Auslan, supporting communication access, and strengthening students' connection to Deaf culture and identity.About The RoleProvide fluent, natural Auslan language modelling for Deaf and Hard of Hearing studentsSupport students' expressive and receptive language developmentPromote Deaf culture, identity and culturally protected learning environmentsWork collaboratively with teachers, educational interpreters and specialist staffContribute to inclusive classroom practices and communication accessAppointments may be Permanent or Temporary, Full-time or Part-time, depending on school need and available vacancies.Applicants MustIndicate their preferred geographic location(s)
