The Opportunity
Cochlear is looking for a Manufacturing Data & Analytics Manager to lead the Manufacturing Insights team within Global Manufacturing Operational Excellence, delivering data, analytics, and visualisation capabilities that enable consistent, high-quality decision-making across Cochlear's global manufacturing network.




This is a hands-on leadership role combining data science, data visualisation, and people leadership, with a robust focus on delivery and capability uplift.
This is a permanent full-time role based in our global headquarters in Macquarie University.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the delivery of manufacturing data, analytics, and visualisation solutions, including standardised dashboards and reporting frameworks
Translate business needs into scalable data products and actionable insights supporting operational performance and Continuous ImprovementDrive delivery of the Operational Excellence Strategy data and insights components aligned to business priorities
Identify and implement improvements in data pipelines, analytics approaches, and visualisation practices
Champion the value of data and insights across manufacturing stakeholders
Enable adoption of self-service analytics and standardised data sources across global sites
Apply and embed data governance, data quality, and data management practices within manufacturing
Attract, develop, and retain the best team to deliver Cochlear's current and future business objectives
About You




Experience developing business measures and metrics for descriptive, diagnostic and predictive analytics
Experience with Sonar, Snowflake and TableauExperience in data science, analytics, or data engineering within complex environments
Strong hands-on capability in data visualisation and data storytelling
Experience delivering end-to-end analytics solutions (data → insight → visualisation)Demonstrated experience in building and leading a data analytics team.Experience applying data governance and data quality principles
Ability to translate operational problems into data-driven insights
Robust stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
Exposure to ERP transformations (e.g., S4/HANA environments) is ideal
Lean Six Sigma or Operational Excellence exposure is preferred
