Wagner Civil is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Finance Officer to join our growing team in Toowoomba.
This is a hands‐on role responsible for accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and general administration, playing a key part in keeping our business running smoothly.
You'll work closely with our leadership team and be someone who enjoys improving processes, solving problems and using technology to make work more efficient.
We're looking for someone who takes ownership of their work, has a positive attitude, enjoys helping others and thrives in a fast‐paced environment.

What You'll Be Doing
Managing Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
Processing weekly payroll accurately and on time
Raising invoices and following up outstanding accounts
Processing supplier invoices, purchase orders and payments
Reconciling bank accounts, credit cards and financial transactions
Maintaining accurate financial records within our accounting systems
Assisting with month-end reporting and finance administration
Supporting the wider business with general administrative tasks
Identifying opportunities to improve systems, processes and efficiencies
Providing exceptional support to our project and operations teams

What We're Looking For
Experience in a Finance Officer, Accounts, Bookkeeping or Payroll position
Strong experience using accounting software and Microsoft Office, with the ability to quickly learn new technology and business systems
Tech‐savvy and always looking for smarter, more efficient ways of working
High attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy
A proactive problem solver who takes accountability and ownership of their work
Excellent organisational and time management skills
A team player who enjoys helping others and building positive working relationships
Strong communication skills and a skilled, customer‐focused approach
Experience in the civil construction or project‐based industry would be highly regarded
