The Company
A growing waste management and environmental services provider is seeking an experienced Branch Manager to lead a specialised dangerous goods and waste services facility in Sydney's south-west.
Operating within a highly regulated environment, the business provides transport, treatment and waste management solutions to commercial and industrial customers across NSW.
The Position
Reporting to senior leadership, this role holds full accountability for branch performance, including operational delivery, financial outcomes, safety, compliance and customer satisfaction.
You will lead a team of drivers, logistics personnel and support staff while overseeing a diverse fleet including tankers, semi-trailers, tautliners and hook trucks.
The role requires a strong operational leader capable of balancing commercial performance with regulatory compliance and safety.
Key Responsibilities
Lead day-to-day branch operations to deliver safe and effective services
Manage fleet utilisation, scheduling and operational performance
Oversee dangerous goods and waste operations within a compliant framework
Maintain strong customer relationships and service standards
Drive branch profitability through budgeting, forecasting and cost control




Lead, coach and develop operational personnel
Ensure compliance with environmental, transport and industry regulations
Identify and implement operational improvement initiatives
About You
You are a proven operations leader with experience managing dangerous goods, hazardous waste, liquid waste or similar highly regulated industrial operations.
You understand how to balance operational performance, customer expectations and compliance requirements, while driving safety and profitability.
Previous Branch Manager or Operations Manager experience
Background within hazardous waste, liquid waste, dangerous goods or industrial services preferred
Strong fleet management and transport operations experience
Demonstrated P&L; ownership and budget management capability
Strong understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements
Proven leadership, stakeholder management and communication skills
Commercially focused with a hands‐on management style
