Launch Recruitment is partnering with a leading global insurer to secure an experienced Pricing Actuary within their General Insurance business.
This is a unique chance to play a key role in building and enhancing the end-to-end pricing capability for a growing portfolio, working on everything from data preparation and risk modelling through to pricing implementation and underwriting rule development.
About The Role
As a Pricing Actuary, you will join a highly collaborative team focused on improving underwriting profitability and driving sustainable growth.
You will provide actuarial expertise across pricing initiatives while contributing valuable insights into the Australian personal lines insurance market.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement data preparation processes to support pricing models and portfolio monitoring.
Support the development and enhancement of risk models, including household and property insurance portfolios.
Contribute to natural catastrophe (Nat-Cat) modelling activities where applicable.
Assist with rate book calibration and pricing optimisation.
Develop and refine underwriting rules to improve portfolio performance.
Provide market insights and recommendations on Australian personal lines insurance practices.
Support broader pricing initiatives, including data integration and new rating engine implementation.




Collaborate with stakeholders across underwriting, analytics, and project teams to deliver successful outcomes.
Keu Requirements
To Be Successful, You Will Ideally Bring
FIAA, AIAA or equivalent actuarial qualification.
3+ years' actuarial pricing experience within general insurance.
Strong experience in household/property insurance risk modelling within the Australian market.
Exposure to Nat-Cat modelling (highly regarded).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Advanced SQL and Python capability.
Experience working with modern data platforms such as Snowflake (desirable).
Exposure to pricing platforms such as Willis Towers Watson Pricing Suite (advantageous).
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
A proactive, collaborative and commercially minded approach.
